Rebecca's Retreat is a licensed senior daycare program offering your loved one a safe and secure, fun and enriching day out while you, the CAREGIVER, receive the much needed RESPITE care you need.
We have been serving the La Mesa, East county San Diego area since 2013. Rebecca "Becky" has been working in senior care for over 25 years... owning Her own Alzheimer's Dementia care facilities from 1999 to 2006. ( continue reading) As noted from the fine folks at Helpguide.org, " the challenges of caring for an elderly, or chronically ill can be a demanding job and no one is equipped to do it alone. Respite care provides short-term breaks that can relieve stress, restore energy, and promote balance in your life." Our first and foremost goal is to offer loving enriched care for seniors with dignity and respect and to instill a joy for living in the moment. We offer an enriching program of activities which transcends the physical and emotional pain that often comes with the losses and challenges of aging, especially for those with memory loss. We actually partner with the family caregiver to improve the overall well-being of the elderly client while enhancing the quality of life for the senior along with giving the caregiver the respite they need and deserve. Our entire team of care facilitators are deeply committed to meeting those needs. Moreover, for seniors who have experienced a period of apathy after an illness, death of a loved one or another major life changing / altering event, we know first hand that senior day programs like Rebecca's Retreat can provide a renewed interest in life. We welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best and caring service in the industry for your loved ones". ~ Becky FAQDoes your program care for people with impaired memory loss consistent with Alzheimer's Disease?

Testimonials
People with Dementia need socialization. It is so easy to let them sit at home. The caregivers treat my mother with respect. She looks forward to the days she spends with her friends and it gives me time to catch up on the things."
~ Tommie, Jewel's daughter ( Jewel is our oldest senior @ 104 years young )
"Having my mother at the retreat gave me peace of mind . She was "not happy" at first, but once she saw AND felt that this was like a home away from home, she looked forward to being there - connecting with friends, getting exercise and being challenged each day with the crossword puzzles.
Now that I can no longer care for my mother at home, I feel the decision and transition was so much easier because of the trusting relationship my mother and I had with Sue and Becky, they knew EXACTLY what facility was right for MY mom without having to drive me to places that would not be a right fit.
I trust them explicitly and can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff, the Retreat itself and the placement services." Thank you!
~Nancy, Virginia's daughter
